BioJector Checklist

  • Make sure that devices are always cleaned and disinfected carefully after AND before each usage.
Do not bring contaminated devices inside your hatchery.
Make biosecurity to one of the main focus in your daily routines.
  • Connect the BioJector to compressed air
Check all connections to ensure there is no leakage.
  • Ensure that the air pressure is set correctly
    3 – 3 1⁄2 bar (BioJector with one syringe) or 3 1⁄2 – 4 bar (BioJector with two syringes)
  • Set the chick counter to the number of chickens per crate
  • Check all seals, springs, and connections of the syringe. Chang syringe wearparts after each 400.000th – 500.000th injection
Use a new cannula after each using/cleaning and after ~ 1.000th-1.500th injection.
  • Make sure that the vaccine is well connected to the syringe and that the syringe is completely vented.
  • Check for leakages at indicated locations to insure correct dosage
Make sure that the Plunger (the blue O-Ring) is sprinkled with oil before each use (after each cleaning and disinfecting)
  • Check that the needle bevel is facing 45° downwards (Sharp point on the bottom)
  • Ensure the correct position of the needle! Position: 1mm from side, 10mm out, Angle: 45° Sharp point facing down (page 5)
Control dosage by injecting into a clean syringe with ml scaling.
